Session seven of the Gateway Workforce Development Series presented by the Inter Astra Institute in collaboration with the Commercial Space Marketplace for Innovation and Collaboration (COSMIC), took place on on August 7th.

This free online session offered an opportunity for professionals affiliated with the DoD, United States Space Force, and anyone interested in the space industry to expand their knowledge and engage with featured speaker, Hugh Forrest. The former South by Southwest Chief Programming Officer covered topics that included:

• Understanding the power of culture, design, and storytelling in shaping public engagement with space.
• Highlighting how festivals and platforms like SXSW catalyze cross-sector innovation.
• Exploring future intersections between arts, emerging tech, and space equity.
